JOB ID 10855: Database Administrator

Conyx IT Solutions LLC, a Frisco, TX based IT Solutions Firm has multiple openings for JOB ID 10855: Database Administrator.

Job duties include:

• Developing comprehensive backup and recovery plan considering the organization’s needs and ensuring that the backup/restore/recovery processes are automated, efficient, and reliable.
• Monitoring database storage space usage, disk usage and network performance to ensure adequate space for the database to function and that data can be accessed quickly and efficiently.
• Implementing specialized backup and recovery solutions to accommodate large data volumes.
• Writing shell scripts to automate various tasks, such as removing old, archived logs and backups from disk, and comparing these backups with tape and TSM.
• Installing, configuring, and upgrading databases in LUW (Linux, Unix, and Windows) environments, and ensuring that the databases are secure and performant.
• Maintaining the database structures version-wise and standardizing DDL scripts using ERWIN.
• Performing database refresh and restore activities on demand using Oracle import/export, data pump, and RMAN utilities.
• Collaborating with ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) teams to fix data issues and handle monthly data purges.
• Working with system and storage administrators to gather and understand performance statistics and to tune the database server accordingly.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Comp Engg, IT or related with at least 60 months of experience.

Salary ranges between $127,317.00 to $130,000.00/year. Travel and relocation to various unanticipated client locations throughout the United States may be required. Equal Opportunity Employer.
